Default Make fun of my intake tube: TVS2300

Iv been wanting to update to the 4" MAF the new GM cars use and get rid of my old MAF system the 2008s use. I know most of you will recommend going to SD but id like to use the MAF for daily driving and mild modifications.

After searching around on the net, cant really seem to find an aftermarket intake with a nice shield for my TVS, especially if i never had a CAI on the vehicle to play around with and mock up.

I got this 4" tube w a 30° angle on it and welded a MAF bung in it. I could have kept the 4" tube i got longer, throw a cone at the end and call it a a day, but i wanted to get away from the hot engine bay heat.

I believe i over thought this a bit...i kept my stock intake box (it is fully gutted underneath with a K&N filter) so no dont think there is any major air restrictions. Found a ZR1 rubber elbow, which seems to work just fine, but might not look the best with that offset angle....

What do you guys think? you guys see any issues or should i start fresh....

Umm, it doesn't exactly line up there... Let's get your rich condition straightened out before you go messing with the MAF.

No bueno. Looks terrible, and won't perform well at all. Needs to be smooth & straight as the air comes to the throttle body.

I made mine using ends from siliconeintakes dot com and some 4" exhaust pipe IIRC.

I think you can use that tube you already have. Just need to start at the throttle body & work towards the airbox. Find your angles & lengths needed, and you're golden.

I believe I used a 22*, a 45*, and a straight on mine. And I just looked back, it was ordered from intakehoses dot com. I used the rubber instead of silicone on mine.

The one at the throttle body is a 22*. Yours may require something different.

How about the Hump hose by the stock intake box...i noticed it said 4x4 on it...how did you slide that over the stock opening on the box? mine has an ID of 4" so im assuming the lip on the box is slightly bigger than 4"
