I really wanted to order the OKW pulley but I just don’t know that I could trust it, I feel like I got screwed paying so much for the IW pulley. There goes another $500 just to keep the belt on. I don’t know why I don’t just give up and pull this thing off and get rid of everything and get a Navigator. There’s no way it can be worse than owning this truck.

I hope that shouldered tensioner pulley helps you out. Back in the day, Joe from LeftCoast32 starting making those as an upgrade. Maybe IW took that angle over. His shoulders were extra tall though and he pushed these superchargers about as far as they would go; he and Duttweiler made a lot of power on those pullies. Suffice to say, I don't think it will be waisted money on your part! Now don't prove me wrong!

pause the video at 55 seconds and that's probably as good as an 8 rib pulley setup gets

Mine has made 780 rwhp with a 6 rib for 5 years. I daily drive it and I am not nice to it. If you still have problems I’d say you have an alignment issue.

I think you might be right. But also, over the years some people just have had issues, everything seemingly the same. I think it probably boils down to manufacturing tolerances, v-groove alignment, even pulley design for some. For me, on my 112 Radix kit I was making 440rwhp and I couldn't keep my 6 rib belt on. So I started looking for solutions. Driving habits play a role as well, on throttle, off throttle, on throttle again can cause a belt float condition that will cause a belt eject as well; that's where the extra tension provided from the HD tensioner helps a bit....But they still move quite a lot. Some people even got in the habit of running a size or two shorter belt in an effort to minimize this movement, or at least keeping the tensioner from bottoming out and snapping. Anyway, its always good when you don't have issues; but not everyone is so lucky!

It has been checked multiple times with the laser alignment tool.

I striped the bolt in my first HD tensioner at the track, drilled it out and put a thru bolt and nut on it to keep racing. Ran it that way for years. You can see it on the old tensioner back on post #32.

I thought about that but I didn't want to block the hole for putting a ratchet in it since I need to use it so frequently. I bought a cheap 1/2 and 3/8 ratchet and 15mm socket to leave in the truck. I found the tensioner by itself on rock auto for $110.
