Default Magnacharger question

a buddy of mine has an old style magna charger that mounts off the passenger side of the motor..my question is is it worth my time to even mess with it...he wants me to trade him a paint job for his supercharger...ill only have about $500 in the paint job so that is all ill have in the supercharger and it always looks good at shows when you pop the hood and there is one sittin there...i dont know what all was done to this truck at the time of install(fuel pump, tuning, ect.) but it is on a 2002 gmc with a 5.3 and my truck is a 2003 gmc with a 4.8l...my truck right now has shorty headers,k&n, hypertech programmer(i know that will be gone), Yank 3600 stall, no cats and dual flowmasters...i am planning on putting a bigger cam and springs in this truck regardless if i get the charger(thunder racing 224/224 .563/.563 112 LSA) is the one i want but dont know if they would work well 2gether...also this truck is bagged/bodydropped and is my show truck and doesnt really get drove to much...any opinions on this would be great and thanks in advance

I wouldn't waste your time bolting it on.....however if you do the deal I will give you a trade in credit on the Newer Radix intercooled kit by Magna Charger.

hey man i put this supercharger on my truck 2night just to see what it would do and have had a few problems...how big is the pully suppose 2 be on this style supercharger because i think it has a smaller one on it and i want the right size one because i dont want to blow the motor...also is the boost setup to be higher in a 5.3 motor compared to a 4.8 motor because i have a 4.8 and it came from a 5.3...i was wondering because it was silverado 5.3 on the tag....and it doesnt seem like its getting enough fuel...i have a inline fuel pump and a fuel cell and i dont think my inline has enough pressure
