Default Magnacharger and MAF...

I have a 2012 silverado 5.3 and I have just purchased a tvs1900 for it finally. I have a K&N CAI instead of the stock airbox. The intake tubing from the maggie kit has no spot for the MAF to mount. Is there and adapter piece I can get to mount my MAF or should I make a custom intake? Any suggestions to help will be appreciated. If anyone made a good custom piping set up id appreciate hering what you did. thanks.

I wouldn't run SD unless the MAF is maxed and on a 2012 it shouldn't be. Pretty sure someone makes a maf housing. I just forget who.

What does SD mean? My apologies if this is a stupid question. Thanks.

Speed Density - aka MAF-less tuning. I am running it on my truck as I was maxing out the MAF.

The newer pcm's have a greater range that the MAF can operate in.

Just get one of these and plumb it in.

Just built one for a guy this week on the exact same setup. I'll snap pics tomorrow. I took a stock airbox that was busted, and cut just the tube portion the maf sits in off and used rubber couplers to plumb it in between. You want to use a tube close to the same size as the stock tube so that the airflow calculations are correct. Bigger tube means slower airflow for the same given volume, which in turn doesn't cook the maf heating element as fast and makes the ecm think it's seeing less air.
