Well My Magna-Volt failed again, this is the second one in 6 months.

I think the failures are caused by moisture.

Here's what happened: I washed my Truck and under the hood (My Magna-Volt is mounted under the hood) after I was done I started the truck and
pulled it into the garage (The Toy Box) and dried the truck next I started it again and left it idling outside the garage while I cleaned up the garage floor and the truck just died and would not restart, after troubleshooting I found that the fuel pump would not run so I unplugged the Magna-Volt and jumpered the wires Grey to Yellow and the truck starts up and run fine.

I called Magnason today (GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE BTW) they have another one on the way under warranty, I also spoke to them about the moisture issues and suggested some sort of water proofing needs to be done.

bummer, at least another one is on its way out.

got anymore pics of your engine bay? looks clean as hell

Since these pics I added the 90MM TB, Snow Performance Meth kit, and a
new Radix bracket with the addjustable idler.

I'll take some new pics tonight and post them up.

very clean install! Glad to hear Magnuson handled the M/V warranty for you.

Two things to check:

1) The ground for the M/V is good
2) The 12v supply is good


In my experiance these have been the major killers of the M/V, that sucker pulls some APMS!

Thanks for the info.
I'll go back and check my ground again, but my 12v comes direct from the
junction block that the Alternator feeds (you know under that red cover next to the ALT).

damn dude, you wern't joking when you said you kept the engine bay squeeky clean were you lol?

what are you using to wash the engine bay? just a spray on hose off cleaner? or do you actually scrub things? give us the details, i want my engine bay to look that good!

I just use the same soap I use on the outside of the truck, hose it off, and I use my air compressor to blow off all the water for a spot free Engine Compartment, I wash the truck about every two weeks or so.
