Default Maf code

I need some advise. My 2006 Silverado truck is turbo and been driving over since November 2015. Drive awesome and lot of power at 15 psi as crazy. Maf changed to iat. The guy who installed for me. It's call speed density. Maf two wires to IAT ON intake pipe. Emission failed. Say have two code I puzzled because no engine check light. The code p0102 maf circuit signal low and p0103 maf circuit signal high. How can solve the prblem and pass the emission. Mean need tune PCM to get that codes off?

In order to run speed density you have to fail the maf.

I believe this is why you have the 2 codes.

Doesn't sound right to me. The SD tune should only set a P0103 one time and it shouldn't reflect in the OBD II emissions test. If you're running an SD tune, the codes will re-set on the first turn of the key even if you clear them - its in the hard memory of the PCM. Best advice is to find another tuner who can set it up correctly.

So,

What he did was "no mil light" instead of "no error reported".

No mil light will through a code, just not illuminate the CE light.

No error reported won't do either.

He needs to leave them enabled (DON'T uncheck the checkbox) and set them to "no error reported".

You should be able to pass emissions with the maf failed...Been doing this for last decade

Make sure rest of your monitors are set
