Default lsa or turbo?

Hello guys its been a while. Currently i have an 07 nnbs crew cab 5.3, with btr stg 3, 1 7/8 headers, 4:11 gears and 3400 stall. Im trying to decide if i want to go turbo or lsa. I will be doing all of the labor myself. Looking for around 6-650 rwhp. Which would be more cost effective? Is 650 doable with the lsa on a 5.3? I will be running e85 and meth. Thanks

The price of a used LSA has gone through the roof lately, so the cost to turbo is not that much more.

Gone are the days of a $2000 LSA swap unless you know someone with a cheap one to sell. You are looking at $2,000 just for the blower and a lid. Then add in the $1,000+ for CTSV fuel rail, injectors, fuel pump, sensors etc etc etc. You'd also be pushing that blower hard to make 650whp on a 5.3. A turbo would make that way easier.

Chinese turbo and kit with a good tuner is the fastest/cheapest way to make this happen

To you all that changed piston ring gap, did you reuse rod bearings or replaced? Also whats the recommended ring gap for a gen4 5.3?

On gen4 rods it doesn't matter as long as he has the fuel and cooling for it
