Default ls6 heads on blown 5.3

I am wondering if anyone here has run ls6 heads on a 5.3 to lower the compression for the maggie. What kind of benefits would the lower compression give me for the maggie ?

I have 64cc heads (799/243) but flat top pistons. I would think it'd be a great move for you just for the better flow.

I have found some lingenfelter 5.3 heads that flow very well just on the fence about what I could get out of the lower compression ratio from the ls6 heads.

Frankly I would be happy with the 9.5:1
I am 9.9:1
A better flowing head will make more power at a slightly lower boost level allowing more boost and timing.

I will get the 5.3's then, they flow as good if not better than the ls6. Thanks for your help.

I'm looking at doing the same thing latter this year. I have a 3.1" and a 3.0" pulley for my radix and I am interested in the flow characteristics of the 243s. If anyone has any input for you I'll be tuning in as well. How is your 5.3 handling the 2.8" pulley?

I think the 2.8 is too much right now. When I get the 90mm throttle body conversion, 100mm mas air and the cam and heads I think it will alleviate the "breathing" problems. it has great power but I think it is not running as efficient as it could
