Yes, that is important. Boy do I have logs! It ranges from 4.95V to 5.1V. Have never seen it go out, yet. Low end is key in run position/engine off. High end is at high RPM. Usually hovers around 5.03 - 5.05V engine running. Did have some WOT issues with the engine running in the initial mockup(Red Green style), but couldn't relate it to that. Exact voltage at the time didn't seem to matter. More room for variation in the latest setup and it is designed to operate right in the middle of that window most of the time.

Not a lot of opportunity for A/C here at this time of year but it does cycle in defrost mode. Did try varying the A/C disable RPM too. Didn't affect anything. WOT blasts weren't so easy today either. But I did get some short ones in before I chickened out. I was in 4WD passing all the cars that had spun off the highway into the ditch due to icy conditions. I will be doing more road testing.

Nice. Any concerns about it working on different vehicles?

Should work with any vehicle that came with the same 78mm TB as my AV. AFAIK all the 03 - 06 TBs were built came with the same part #.

Kool, I'm very interested too.

Is the black box going to be water proof?

the reason I ask is that I'm having problems with my Magna volt if I
wash down my engine it fails to work again and has to be replaced.
so I have to take special care with it (MagnaVolt) when washing the engine.

The electronics will be encapsulated. But from prior experience, you still have to be careful not to get the TB connectors wet. Even though they have seals. Moisture entry can trigger REP mode. Usually resolved by blowing out the connectors with compressed air.
