Default Looking for cut out.

Ok I know there are some many out there, but I seem to remember a cut out that was built out of tubing and had the door internally to move the exhaust one direction or the other. Which ones are yall running...

Could old school it, and use 3 wings nuts and a gasket but I am getting to old for that.. LOL Want to hook it up to a boost switch, so at X boost the cut out opens..

I would like to do something similar with the air intake so I do not have to pull air through all the STS tubing when I am not boosting. It will be fun to figure out the details!

I just recently installed a DMH electric cutout. I had done some reading and they seem to get alot of good reviews from most people. I read too many horror stories of the QTP ones falling apart. I have only had it for a couple of weeks, but so far it works perfect.

Rick @ synergy motorsports showed me a cut out that was boost operated, was pretty neat.

Dougs, makes a guillotine style cutout that is the best out there, you could run it off a hobbs switch to activate it(open), they are pricey though.

I stick to my wingnuts... a single 3" on each header collector seems to work out really nice.

I can see something like that in your case, but I'd have to have some way to disable that... it would get ******* ANNOYING if a cutout were constantly opening and closing when you're trying to merge into traffic or just leaving a redlight...LOL..

Thats what a Hobbs switch is for, set it for 10#s or whatever you will hit at WOT so it wont open at less throttle input.
