livernois turbo advice
#11
Sts kits work just fine. I was putting down 500rwhp on my 5.3 at 8psi and no I/C. If 500rwhp is your goal that can be achieved with a Radix. If you want more turbo would be your best bet until the new Maggies are available.

You can get 500 rwhp and keep it super reliable with a maggie. Especially when the new 112HH becomes available. bolt on the blower, pully, a set of LT's, heads and cam and you will be there.

If you do a bit of searching on the livernois kit you will see how close I was to getting that rather than a STS kit....
Here is some little crappy facts for ya. The 5.3 pistons mostly 5, and 7 Does not like KR and boost. The 4l60 trans will need to be built or replaced with a 80e if you ever want to drive the truck....
Good luck, and start weeding through all this info that has been posted.
BTW, IT'S WORTH IT!

ive thought about all this **** a hunderd times in my head do i want turbo or super rear mount or in the engine bay and i finaly just decided to look for some help from other people like yourselves that have done this before. 4l65e is also a good tranny swap cuz i know that the 4l60 will be junk fast. i like the looks of that trick performance kit a lot.
