Default Spacers

SuperSub's success got me curious about the phenolic spacers also. From what I have read there are probably at least 100 different grades of phenolic. Some use a paper core and the better grades use linen. There are all kinds of temperature ranges and not all grades of phenolic are suitable for use with PETROCHEMICALS. Surely, there's a Materials Engineer on this site somewhere.

Right now looks like aluminum will be the spacer. And there will two gaskets. The gaskets will act as a thermal barrier. And there is one below and one above the spacer plate.
Too help keep the costs down the spacer is a two piece designed.

Update: 112/122 IC is done I will get some pics up in a bit.
Heres the break down on all the parts.
Intercooler only. ........700.00 + frieght
aluminum 1" spacer only...........300.00 + freight
Elbow spacer only...................150.00 + freight
Gaskets only............................75.00 + freight

Kit price will be 1100.00 + freight

WE broke all the prices apart knowing some of you have access to machinery or have buddies in the machining side of things. The 1" space is needed IF you do not want to machine the lower section of your intake, to look like the TVS stuff. (not sure if magnuson would freak on it or if it would hurt the lower section only. and in no way I am saying go machine your intakes). If I own'd one I would do the machining and run a spacer but thats me. I have access to tooling and machines to fix what I break.

The gaskets are 1/16 material and will give some thermal barrier protection from the lower section. Keeping the blower as cool as we can. Phenolic was not an option for me at this time. With 2 gaskets one top and below the spacer, not sure the phenolic would help that much more anyway.

Kit includes all the spacers, bolts, gaskets and intercooler for you to do the swap. Build time is 3 weeks requires/ 50% depsoit.
