No not insulting. When I mention stock intercooler I meant if you had to replace the 112's stock intercooler under the blower. . Frozen boost has alot if stuff cheap. All made some were else. This intercooler is made in the USA.

The composite tank is not carbon looking. More like a fuel cell look. Black large screw on lid. Bolts right in.

let me know if I can help. 940-781-5204

I really wanna see this composite tank, cause if it looks like carbon, well...

When I originally typed my previous post, I had I prolly can't afford to do this unless there was a group buy. But I deleted it, cause i wanted to see I/C specs difference.

I see u mentioned that. How funny. How much would we be talkin then (on a Group Buy)?

Perhaps u can't provide that just yet, til the rest of the things that go along w/. this are finalized, well just say so then. Or if u prefer, PM me. Along w/. a phone # to contact u at. I may need some other things.

Yes, FB stuff is made in Asia from my research. I always prefer to support U.S. made whenever possible.

I'd like to see pics / dimensions on the composite tank when u get that phase done. Thanks for all the good info Rick.

Maybe I'm confused but would I need a cowl hood to run this intercooler and spacer? Also is it a simple replacement for the stock I/C. I mean just pull the top of the blower off and swap out intercoolers and add spacer or is there some machine work involved?

you are probably thinking of the heat exchanger, not the intercooler

Get yall some better pics soon. 2300 coming soon.
Wow, $750 for the intercooler, plus additional for the spacers?? Not trying to be rude, but that's about double what I expected. Just sayin'.

Not sure just yet, once I get the qoute in on material for the spacers I will know more. You never know metal shops are weird when the price material out.
Stock IC I think are in that price range. Group buys are always an option. If I can build more per batch that would help the pricing.
I know this will help the cooling of any 112 IF these are any were close to the results of the lightning units this is the ticket for keeping them cool ;and adding ICE even better, composite tank even better.

Trick *** *********** Stock
3.5" thick.** ******** 2.4 thick
air rows 14 ** ******air rows 10
coolant rows 15** ** coolant rows 9
bar and plate ** *****tube and fin
single pass ** ******* dual pass

Hope this helps. let me know if we can help with your project. I will get you some pics up tommorrow on the tank. Tank only 175.00 range they are not quite finalized yet.

3"core is doable but adds cost to the build.

very interested in this!

No cowl hood needed. Yes it's a pretty simple swap. The guys at Magnuson made it pretty easy. This intercooler is built to just drop in.
At this time I have found no extra machine work needed.

One thing I noticed between the intakes is the early setups lower section has long runners.

What kind of HP gains are we looking at with adding this I/C and spacer? I'm assuming with the cooler temps it will allow more boost. Also will the stock maggie pump need to be upgraded for more coolant flow?

I for one think that before i spend almost a grand on this, will there be some comparison between the stock and aftermarket i/c. All your effort is appreciated with this upgrade.

I went back and searched where supersub made over 100 HP by just adding a spacer. I know he has a tvs but is that realistic on a radix? Even if there is a benefit of lower iat's but if getting 100 HP or close to it with just this mod I can see justifying spending the money. Sounds like a good bang for the buck.
