So I stand corrected; My apologies Gents. I must say, an AWD conversion has crossed my mind more than once.

I can see how it would be hard to put down that much TQ off idle but its not like its never been done before. Especially with a full frame leaf spring well designed tuned suspension. I think what Im seeing is the cost vs gain. What it will cost to make a killer whipple/maggy style high power setup push the power and hook vs a high power turbo/centrifugal or N20 for that matter. Dollar for Dollar everything can beat a supercharger setup ( Not counting Procharger) Is what it seems like.

Think you nailed with the dollar to dollar comparison.

This...

Even with my mild mail order tune & stock 3.3" pulley, torque is violent if you're not careful, and traction is useless even at my low power level, but my truck is a rcsb and is light. But once you push the traction button (4x4) it's game on.

I'd think around 600-700 hp should be the sweet spot for a roots blower truck on the street IF you're AWD/FWD.
