Default Kenne Bell Intercooler Progress

Ok well here are some pictures, as anyone will tell ya with a whipple or kenne bell the biggest project is getting the air out of the blower and to the intercooler and back into the intake. There is NO room with the truck intake, I could have done this many other ways however I wanted it to work with the truck intake and also without moding the blower at all. Obviously I am not done but the main obstacle is out of the way, now I just have to run piping. As seen in the photos I did not drill the holes in the inlet flange I made yet to mount it, well actually they are now just not in the photo. I am doing this project without having the truck down at all...[IMG][/IMG]

WOW! no downtime huh? Thats tough to do. It looks good so far. Do you have a plan on how your going to route the pipe yet? 3" i assume? It must be....."Add An Intercooler To Your Truck Month". LOL Luckely for me it would seem i have a little more room getting the intake/outlet piping to pass each other.

Ya I know, I have efans and I am going to run the piping right down infront of the engine. The intercooler will be mounted behind the front valance, similar to where the sts intercoolers are mounted.

I wish I thought of that. Why are you going to use such heavy tubing?

Well I am only going to use that tubing for the couple of short straight pieces, I mainly wanted it for the flange because of having to weld it to the piece I made for the intake. I cant find **** around here for tubing however I did find a 12ft long piece of 6061 1/8 wall for 21 bux so....
