Default Kenne Bell 2.8L 402ci H2 pushing harder this year

I've decided to see how far it'll go this year. I just made the order for a Nasty Performance Stage 3 fuel system:

Stage 3 Street kit-1000hp (850-900rwhp)
2 Walbro 340 intank fuel pump
Walbro fuel pump install kit
NastyPerformance hotwire kit
MagnaFuel billet fuel pressure regulator w/boost ref.
MagnaFuel billet stainless steel fuel filter
Aeroquip -8 braided stainless feed fuel line
Aeroquip -6 braided stainless return fuel line
Aeroquip fittings and misc parts to complete install

Looking forward to receiving this in a couple of weeks and getting it installed. I've been tapping on the edge of the fuel injectors for a while and even the boost a pump won't allow the motron 60's to get the job done on the returnless stock fuel system. This should set me up well for the rest of the season.

I've also got a new 3.25 pulley to test fit tomorrow. Probably a 3.0 if needed after that. Also getting a 8 rib pulley set up made. I've already got the 8 rib balancer and idler pulleys so I only need the PS pump, Alternator, and tensioner to be made. Yes, I could run the ATI parts... but I'd like to see another vendor get a crack at the market. I'll have more details on this soon.

I destroyed the idler bearing on my meziere a couple of weeks ago... so I got it rebuilt under warranty and put it on the shelf for another project. I installed a brand spanking new 2007/2008 stock water pump in its place.

I'm anticipating the need to move to a 4l80 this year as well. We'll see what happens with that...

Sounds like you are really going to be turning it up this year!! Keep us informed.

Who is going to make your 8 rib set up?

What are you ET and/or rwhp goals??

Kick ***!! My kb should be at w2w anyday if it isn't there already. ordered it with a 3" and 3.5" pulley. I went with the speed eng 1000hp truck fuel system. Now i need a new tank cause i can't run at under 1/8 tank. Sounds like yours is a better setup. keep us posted

I don't have a hard ET/rwhp goal. We'll just see where it lands. 12's would be nice, though.

Are you sure you have a 3.5 and a 3.0 coming? I'd think they'd give you what I received... a 4.0 and a 3.5. I get to test fit the 3.25 (6 rib) tomorrow then it will be powdercoated by the manufacturer. I'll have them remake it in a 8 rib for me next.

Hard data on built up H2's is hard to find. I've posted more info than anyone else as far as I'm aware.

We installed the prototype 3.25 pulley today. Fit and finish is great and we designed in some new features that make the new pulley superior to the Kenne Bell factory offerings:

- The new pulleys have shoulders now on both sides of the belt.

- They also have a large hex "nut" on the face as well as the
original style pin spanner holes. This makes it easier to swap
pulleys.

- The pulleys also have the offset corrected so the extra spacer
provided from the factory is no longer required.

So... I'm running the 6-rib 3.25 pulley right now. I also saw my 8-rib 3.25 pulley today as well (it will be powder coated before I take delivery). Both are excellent looking pieces that other Kenne Bell owners will love.

I'll post another thread with some info about the pullies and photo's.

Oh yeah... I need to tune again before I can really comment on boost gain. I can't seem to go above 2/3 throttle without going lean. I'll probably have to install the fuel system before I can really lay into it.

Very nice; can't wait to see what it does with all the fuel it needs.
