just wondering what kinda gains to expect out of it with my setup, and how do i need to go about tuning with the meth. i know ill be able to run more timing but will i need to pull my fuel back a little also? right now i see 24 degrees of timing at wot, and then it just drops from there because of the iat's. by my shift point in second im only seeing 14 degrees. also should i run straight meth, or a mixture?

 

Run straight meth. Yes you'll be able to take out some fuel. I dont know much about tuning but 24* is quite a bit, the meth will definately help lower your iat's.

I didn't see a huge gain from the meth but i'm sure it's helping with my iat's and fueling.

 

From what I've studied, water is better for cooling and meth is used to increase octane levels.

 

I run %100 because I'm too lazy to mix it...

 

100% water will cool better. 100% meth cools but the big benefit is in its octane. Chances are you will still see your timing drops as its (tune) looking at the IAT temps it sounds. You should be able to tune less drop in timing with the meth.

My last trip to the track and my best run to date I logged a serious lean condition on the top end. I let my fuel tank get below a 1/4 tank. Saw 15:1 ish full throttle, 9psi 21* timing and no KR due to the methanol I think.

 

well i believe thats the timing my tuner has it running. but like i said it drops fast. but my fiance just went into labor so it doesnt look like its going on this week! ah well. maybe next week. damn that sounds horrible doesnt it!!

 

than get off the damn computer and take her to the hospital. remember, no speed limit.
