I think thats what I am gonna do......I think. I plan on starting with the LTs first though.
all the above and a 50 shot.

That way you're still really reliable ,but also have a back up plan at the push of a button

Monitor your injector duty cycle, it will go up as the engine power goes up.
The IDC will increase after the LT header install.

A 496 cube engine with a compressor on it needs a good exhaust. LT headers with a cam could mean some BIG power, regardless of how much boost you are running. Boost numbers are meaningless to power production as it measures restriction, not power.

If you are running 6 psi on a stock 8.1, then add a better intake manifold/heads/cam/headers/exhaust, your boost may plummet, but your power will soar. Its not like the compressor is pushing LESS air when you enhance the flow of parts behind it. Plus the less you work a supercharger, the less power it robs.

I think it would be VERY interesting to see just how much the manifolds, stock pipes and cats are backing up the engine.
You wnat the air to enter and exit and engine with the LEAST amount of restriction, this is esp importantant when you are forcing the air into the engine.

Well, I have the corsa exhaust now. The exhaust alone seemed to pick me up around 3-4 tenths of a second, but i never dyno'd it to see what RWHP gain it gave me. I plan to add the stainless works long tubes in January. They are 2" primaries and 3" collectors. Currently, the two 3" pipes converge into one 3.5" pipe before the corsa muffler...then one single 3.5" pipe exits the passenger side. I am considering true duals when i put the LT's on, but thats gonna cost a bit more considering i would have to pick up some high flow CATs and mufflers and have the exhaust custom bent all the way back. LT's ($750)+ 2 high flow CATS ($600) + Mufflers ($400) + custom mandrel bent 3" pipes ($300) = a hell of a pricey exhaust setup...LOL. Maybe i would be okay with just the LT's and high flow CATs incorporated into the Corsa system i currently have for now?

Either way, i think the heads, cam, intake, and LT's + the Whipple blowing a safe 4 or 5lbs of boost behind it should make for some nice safe gains. I will be starting with the LT's in January and go from there. At this point i think I am sticking with the Whipple just as an "A La Mode" to the Raylar kit. I am trying to get some feed back from them right now on whether the blower cam (at my low boost levels) would be more benificial than the cam that comes with thier kit. I need to find out what specs the cam are that come with thier kit too. I know it sounds so cliche, but at the end of the day...i still want a reliable truck to take camping...LOL. Call me crazy but i think if the truck has been this reliable this long, adding a heads, cam, intake combo shouldn't degrade the reliabilty any.

Yeah, he could actually use the rear section at least. I've seen many mandrel stainless factory pipes pulled off them go in the trash at exhaust shops with nothing wrong with them.

So whats the deal with CATs. I guess I cant remove them because of emissions inspections....... but how much difference will high flow cats give me over the ones I have currently? Im gonna look around on Ebay and see what the Dmax exhaust systems are going for too.

I have a pair of maganflow hi flows 100.00 a pc. I think hi flows will not effect the power output if they are set up for the HP you are trying to get to. I took mine off when we did the exhaust it was just easier.

Not sure i understand what you mean. Are you saying hi flows are not going to make a real difference over the standard CATs?
