Default Intercooler recommendation?

Quick question guys will a 31x12x4 IC fit in behind the grill of my 06 silverado?

can with modification to the hood latch support, or could chop up the back of the grill... lol

Would a 3" result in any less modification?

I'd let someone thats done this mod with a 3'' say something, i've seen them installed i can't remember off the top of my head though what was done. i think there is a tread regarding the question. i have a 3'' cx racing I/C same dimensions as you listed just havent mounted it but am gonna do a 4.5'' I/C instead.

this is the intercooler i used behind my grill and the only thing i had to trim was my bumper cover . if you dont have a ss you will probably not have to trim anything... Heat Exchanger

fit like a glove. if you want to see pics of it mounted let me know.

I have a 3" behind mine, was very tight but looks like it was meant to be there..

i had the stock procharger intercooler b4 i got this so over the stock one my overall highest temps dropped around 30*+ . i just looked at a recent logs of mine at the top of a 0-95ish pull which is a 1st through 2nd gear pull shifting at 6500 rpms my iat hit 106*- 115* at the very top of second. older logs i was just looking at i was hitting in the 140* range with the stock procharger intercooler .
