Concerning the inlet to the manifold, I have access to 6061 alum. I am going to fab up something on the lathe, if what I am planning on doing works I will let all you whipple guys know. I know its easy with a ls1 manifold but I also know it can be done with the truck manifold as well. And damnit I am going to do it
I spoke with Allen nelson earlier and he was telling me that to run the piping on the drivers side all I have to do is unbolt the pcm ( 2 bolts) and move it forward ( I think he said forward?) Anyway he said It would give me about 4in of additional room. I hope to begin on the inlet next week. Our very own ( Wkdiver ) has a throttle body spacer that is not being used, so I might use it for a template for the bolt holes etc. As of right now I hope to make the whole inlet out of one chuck of alum.

No not really, I have been really busy the last couple of weeks. I got the alum. just havent had a chance to start messing with it yet. I was actually going to mess with it a little today but ended up making a trip to summit racing to pick up some goodies.
Hopefully this coming week Ill be able to get something going.

I finally got ahold of all the alum. that I need to make the flange, I got the plate all marked out today and hope to start cutting on it in the next couple days or this weekend. Once that is done this project should move along fairly quickly.

Good info in this thread
Here is my old post about my results with the OBX FMIC. It was pretty new idea back then so its a bit rough around the edges. Obviously there are better ways to do things now but I would still put the FMIC where I did. The rails are not an integral part of the body support so cutting into it didnt really do anything.
In most cases the damn thing never got more than luke warm in the first 1/4 of the FMIC. On a really warm day it got warm about 1/2 way through the FMIC and that is at 13-14psi. It is more than sufficient.
