well, just tried to order the intercooler but they are out of stock. Called company and they said they just got shipment in and will take them a couple of days to process before I can order. Hopefully in the next 10 days I will have it done and will report back. Gonna do some more testing tonight and will take some video and post it up. I appreciate everyones help and advice on this!!

Take note of how airflow is where you want to mount it, can you mount it close to fan and use the fan inlet airflow to feed it?

I had that same thought and was typing a response until I thought about the dry ground part.

I had considered mounting it on the cage, kinda off to the side of the burp tank that is there now. But.... asthetically I think it would look like crap LOL. too much piping etc. The prop is 80 inches in diameter and has 3 blades that are 12.5 inches wide. I am going to try a 4th blade this week. My point is that the prop pulls a fricken ton of air. On a thrust trailer a typical setup like mine will produce about 1400 lbs of thrust.
I'm gonna mount it on top of engine and run it first with out a scoop and then with a scoop to compare results.
I dont think my current IAT's are to terribly bad right now, but our hot summer days are right around the corner so I know the temps are gonna go up. Plus we do some 2 or 3 mile dry land runs going from point A to point B so I would like it to run as cool as possible.

Damn that's nice af! I didn't know they made nice airboats like that. Where do you live and what do you use it for? I know you got the SC cheap, but with all of that room I would have thrown some twins on there

Back on subject... Have you considered mounting the intercooler below the driver/passenger seats? You could run a bigger IC like THIS and it might look a little cleaner too.

I was looking at this one from Frozen boost.

Top to Bottom Intercooler...
That looks small to me. I haven't been driving my truck in awhile, and I lost all of my logs the last time my laptop crashed, but it seems like my IATs were about 10º above ambient cruising, going up to as much as 30º over in boost. My I/C is 18x24x4 inches.

Yea that's what I thought... I got mine off CX Racing's eBay store with a universal cold pipe kit. The piping was surprisingly thick for how cheap it was.

Well, this particular one I have just a hair over 30,000 in it. A turn key boat from the hull manufacturer with a brand new LSA etc. will be right at 70 grand. We use these boats for riding, fishing, and hunting. It is a very addictive hobby lol.
I did order the intercooler from frozen boost. I had considered putting it under the motor on the engine stand legs but to me it just wasnt clean enough looking. Heck if it doesnt turn out the way I want on top of motor I can always move it down below. Will keep everyone posted.
