Default intercooler question and advice

Need some advice here. I just finished building an airboat with a 5.3 and Vortech supercharger. I am running 10lbs of boost and spraying meth. Now for the question.
My rpms at cruise are about 3000. I pretty much am running in vacuum unless I am running dry ground etc. I did some data logging the past couple of nights and my IAT's at cruise are between 115 and 125 with ambient temps at 85 degrees. When I get into boost and the meth starts spraying temps drop to 115. Ocassionally if increase my cruise rpms to say 4000 or 4500 with out getting into boost my IAT's will get into the 135 to 140 range and then come back down to the 120's when i go back to 3000 rpms. I am thinking those IAT's are a little too high.
I was thinking about taking an air to air intercooler and mounting it on top of engine. Fabricating brackets etc would be no issue. And having it on top of my motor would make a very short run of piping. Do you guys think a standard air to air would get enough airflow on top of motor since obviously it wouldnt be inside an engine compartment etc.
I was looking at this one from Frozen boost.

Top to Bottom Intercooler

Open for suggestions and here is a pic of what I have to work with.

Something like that would work since your getting alot of air from the Fan Blades.

Thats what I was thinking. I would leave space underneath it also so you could get air flow through it. I could even fab up a scoop facing forward to force air down through it. Truthfully, we arent talking about a whole lot of money to do this but I needed some reassurance on my thinking. I appreciate everyones imput!

I would put a pretty big air scoop on it if you are mounting it horizontal above the engine.

Something about a supercharged airboat. I'm having dirty thoughts just thinking about it.

Thats funny right there! This is my first LS based one. Traditionally I had always just built Gen 1 383 etc. Only reason this one is supercharged is due to the fact that I had picked up the Vortech garage sale cheap a while ago and figured it would be something different. The guy who built my hull just finished another one and he put a brand new LSA in it. They are running it stock right now but are getting ready to do the cam, pulley, and tune and should be right around 780hp.
Mine was a real handful when I ran it at 15lbs of boost LOL
