Default Intercooler for KB or Whipple

Well I started on procuring all the pieces for my intercooler. The part I need most now is an elbow with a flange that attaches to the intake manifold. The elbow I currently have has a 90 degree bend towards the supercharger. I will need one that is bent towards the drivers side. Does anyone know where I can get one fabricated. SOS!

I am very seriously concidering the new Whipple intercooled kit with big AX3300 supercharger.Whipple is claiming it's worth over 1000hp on a LS1.With a light weight truck and a 408 you might have a very serious combination. It's supposed to be available im January.

That kit looks absolutley badass.

It is basically what I wanted, but I would use a 6L block with a 4.8L crank.

Hey V, back to the original topic Based on my findings being that I am doing the same thing, try to find a local machine shop. With the exeption of a machine shop I am really not sure where you would fine one. No one makes on that I know of? I wonder if any of the centrifial kits might have one like we need? If so maybe the manufacture would sell just the elbow to us. Hmmmmmm Just a thought

Pat I checked with the centrifugal blower suppliers and most of them utilize the TB as the last piece that bolts onto the intake. My options are to draw a flanged component and send to a local machine shop as you suggested or I can continue to followup with KB. However their next version of SC may be one that replaces the Intake altogether. I will post prints if i go the custom fab route.

Your truck looks sharp!

Cheers
