What’s the best front mount air-air intercooler that I can fit in a 2005 Chevy 1500?

What are you cooling. That’s huge, how thick is it?

 

Cooling a Vortech charger. The intercooler is Mishimoto for a Duramax. I think it’s 2.05 inches thick.
Got a core support out of a 2500 so it all fits perfect.

 

Actually it’s closer to 3 inches thick.

We are going to need before and after IATs before we approve.

 

The IATs were not bad with the smaller intercooler, but it was only making 4lbs of boost because of belt slip.
At low speed the IACs were really high because the filter is on top of the headers. Going to relocate the filter to a much better place and I’ll post pics soon.
Ran a 13.03 @ 104 which I was impressed with since it’s wasn’t making much boost.
We are also putting the blower on a belt by itself.

 

Installing new transmission this week, got a Christmas tree ornament in the mail today!

 

Radiator and e-fans still mount and fit like factory? Looks really good. Hopefully it works well too.
