For those running an STS kit, I was wondering how many pieced together their own front mount intercooler as opposed to using the STS one? I was looking at maybe buying the intercooler and piping and fabricating one myself. Any ideas? Thanks!

I like the way your set-up looks. I have a GMC and I was looking at mounting my intercooler in the same location as the STS kit, but maybe using a core that allows me to run the inlet and outlet on the same side (space permitting). Perhaps you get some additional cooling by running the outlet pipe behind the intercooler. I just wanted some ideas from guys that strayed from the "plug and play" kit. Your truck looks good with the intercooler behind the factory grille. Thanks for the reply!

Anyone ever tried using a DuraMax cooler with a Supercharger or turbo? Will it mount in a silverado without screwing up the AC system or needing a bumper modification? Then we just need to figure out the plumbing.

There was a guy on here a while ago that had one installed. He made some custom adapters and plumbed everything up. If i remember correctly, he had to move the battery and PCM/TCM to make room for it all. I think he had to use the DMAX radiator to get it all to work as well. He spent quite a bit of time and money on i think. He was sort of a plug-n-play type guy and in the end I dont think it worked out like he wanted it to. Dont pay attention to Mike, he hates Kangaroo's.

No problem. I found the post from last August. The problem was the Duramax Radiator could not cool the engine, so the intercooler was not able to work efficiently. They gave up and trashed the setup. Possible leakage issues that never got tested, at least as far as I could find.

BTW: Roos Rule!!!! (4 Exclamation points), but that is a Donkey ;-)
