You know I look at PWR, and turbonetics, etc and see those $700 i/c's and then I look at the same physical dimensioned $199 i/c's. What's up with the efficiency difference?

Are air to air i/c's flow directional? Or can the inlet/outlet be any way you want?

They are non directional.

Also, I have seen some of the more expensive intercoolers are also finned inside the tubes. I would think that would be more restrictive but better heat transfer.
