im with ya, i have a 4.8 and don't see too much as to why to get the big expensive intakes until the bigger cubes come. i guess you could have it and once you get the bigger motor use it then also? I remember at one time there was some dyno graphs done (before the Holley Hi Ram came about) and all the intake they tested really were minimal gains on the 4.8 and 5.3's i think the best one was a ported truck intake IIRC.

 

No doubt in my mind the holley is making more power up top. Just not sure how much. I paid $600 or so for this intake. About $400 of that was just for the cool factor . Not a better looking intake out there IMO

 

also what about the Throttle body, how much for that if you don't mind me asking? and it is a AMAZING looking intake. I want one just not to sure if i want one with my 4.8 yet. I've made 727 rwhp with a stock intake on only 19-20 lbs i can only imagine how much more the intake could help, but in all fairness with the tap of a button i can also make the same power for free.

 

What throttle body? I'm running the 90mm ls2/ls7
