intake manifold which one

Gamble686, out of curiosity, if IAT's were a problem, how much more of a problem do you think the intake will make at WOT? Lets say the pre intake IAT is 100*, how much do you figure the intake will raise that temp before it hits the cylinder head runner?
I'm interested in what you think a post intake manifold temp would be when the pre manifold IAT is 100*, 150* and 200*.

While driving is really not a problem. Never has been. The issue is if you drive for a while, shut it down for 10-20 minutes, and come back and start it up intake temps will be 160ish and you might have a hard time starting.

Bunch of interesting comments I still can't get over the fact that no one but FAST makes a composite intake for these motors figured Holley or another manufacture would have made a effort

I still love my fast lsxrt. Tuning is tricky but once it's tuned 100% it's awesome. Install was a pain. I think mostly because I had never went to an aftermarket manifold before. Steam vent kit is a must. I have been running for a couple years and love it. Now I wanna add some type of F/I

Exactly what I am trying to get across. Except as usually you did a better job explaining.

I see alot of 4.8's in here running the Holley hi ram. Is there actually any gain out of this on these small 4.8's? and if so is there any numbers to show for not just the butt dyno?

The thing that baffles me is why spend around $1000 on an intake when more cubes can be had for about that price with bigger gains. The only way I understand it is in the case of someone pushing a 4.8/5.3 to the absolute limit.
