Question Intake manifold nnbs????

Hi there I'm new to the forums but in need of information. I have a 2009 CCSB 5.3 Sierra with a mild build, the truck is also on full airride so I'm trying to improve the looks under the hood on a budget, want to steer away from the 2k lsxr setup for an additional 25hp. So I'm mainly trying to get rid of the hidious factory intake manifold for something that looks better without losing any gains what so ever... Looked at quite a few different options but the only ones I've seem to find within budget are sheet metal intakes and they are said to be less effective them the factory intake manifolds, my question is does anyone know or heard of the 14-present on a nnbs without an modifications?? I'm aware the thread posting isn't for n/a but it was the most appropriate place for my question.

Intake mounting on the 14 up is completely different, the newer 5.3/6.2 intakes will not fit on an ls engine.... You really only have two options, can clean up the ridges on the nnbs intake or throw the engine cover on it and let the engine cover/sight shield do its job.... Make the engine look presentable!!

I know smoothed nbs intakes look real good but I don't know if I've seen a nnbs intake smoothed before but I'm sure it can be done

Other option is I think the edelbrock ls intake looks good and isn't 2k like a fast

I saw a smoothed nnbs somewhere, i wanna say on this forum, maybe in the engine bay thread.. Wasnt as detailed as the smoothed one you posted, but it cleaned it up quite nicely....
