Default installing my FMIC

well kinda i'm gonna install my mock up intercooler. here is a few pics of my artwork.

the IC i've been looking at is 31x12x4 so i made the mock up at 29" wide to take in account the inlet/outlet. i figure this way i know if it will fit before i buy it. i bought that d-max intercooler (thanks snake eater ) and it didn't fit it had to be cut down and bla bla bla. i don't wanna do that again. so i'll try it behind the grill and behind the bumper/valance and see which fits better.

Hey I did the same with mine when I was trying to determine a size, I just measured and built one like you did then called TRT and had them build it. I did custom inlets and outlets on mine though.

i figured this would be way cheaper than buying something just to find it won't fit. i need to find out if the valance from a gmc will fit on my bumper. i don't have a hole in mine like the gmc guys go.

With the newer chevy, you should be able to make it go between the grill. On my Gmc, there was no room...i had to notch the frame or move the radiator back. I like to weld so I notched. Good luck!
