Hello, looking at some info online I’ve seen some good info here. This is a discussion im having with my tuner and cam manufacture. Tuner says the cam is for a 5.3 and won’t tune it for whatever reason. The application is for a 2003 yukonxl DD with a flat top 408 with cathedral port heads. I use pump E85 and am going to use a S475 turbo. Thoughts please

i ain't smart enough on turbo cam specs to make any solid inputs on your card, however, you most-definitely need a new tuner if he just blanket says "that's a 5.3 cam" & refuses to tune for it without providing any other data. it actually looks a little big for a 5.3 engine (N/A, at least) in a daggum suburban, so my WAG for a 408 looks pretty close.

i'm running a "wild LS9 cam" in my LS1 (the only build i've ever seen use it on anything smaller than 6.0L), and it drives great. it was also recommended to me by the guy who built the cam specifically for 6.2 engines. even a stock LS6 cam does decent in a turbo 4.8 or 5.3 build.
