Default I'm have a hard time making a decision.

First off, I own A 2002 RCSB 2wd truck 5.3l Flex Fuel. I bought it strictly to turbo. Its a "stripper" so the only 2 options. it has is a tow package and A/C.

I want a street driven track ready truck, more of a freeway warrior. with as much power the truck can handle without going too crazy on body modifications. stock rear etc.

I own and operate a business called Nocturnal Performance were we build Lsx swaps for older hotrods, muscle cars, boats and so on. therefore I have tons of parts and engines laying around.

Here is what I have sitting I'm my shop that can be used on this project.

Trick stage 3 turbo kit with 76mm master power .96AR

50mm BOV

38mm WG

80lbs Siemens injectors

Engine choices

2010 L96 engine complete. (I can change it to run of an 99-02 computer and wiring harness.)

2003 6.0l lq4 stock

2002 5.3l disassembled for machine shop with a set of scat forged h beam rods and wiesco flat top nitrous pistons. these would change the 5.3l to the size of an LS1

or turbo the stock 5.3l thats in the truck

I have both 4l60E and 4l80e in 2wd both stock. I'm really leaning towards the 4l80e. its an easy swap

I want to keep the flex fuel option because I have heard of what a difference it makes on boost. can I keep the module when changing to a bigger better fuel system?

This will be my first attempt at building a turbo car. I have been lurcking here for a few years and understand the theory pretty well. I want to play around and learn a lot before a customer asks me to build them a turbo car.

what would you guys suggest I do? I also want to cam what ever engine I decide to use. any cam suggestions?

Default turbo

imo i would do 6.0 /2003 for two reason more torque / and the 4l80e has 2.41 first gear .4l60e has 3.06 first but wont last .the 5.3 will struggle with that 2.41 first gear .been there done that . i am runnig 03 6.0 with 4l80 e now ,trick stage 3 as rick about me .

Why the 03 6.0l over the 2010 6.0 with L92 heads?

L96 and 80e....that turbo will be done before the injectors. "Flex fuel" is meaningless at the power you want
