my truck is a 2001 5.3 also what turbo does the basic sts kit bring i know its gerrett but model?

The base kit comes with a T04e 60-1 turbo. The next upgrade is a GT-67 and well worth it.
Its not too bad doing springs on the trucks. A good valve spring tool is worth its weight in gold when doing them. You will also need a compressor. Once you do a few, you will get the hang of it and they will go a little quicker.
