HOw much PSI will a stock 5.3 handel?

Default HOw much PSI will a stock 5.3 handel?

I was just wondering what's the max psi i can run to a stock 5.3 engine with out changeing things other than tuning.

Are you looking for longevity, or all out power? TURBO8 has ran 20+ lbs on his stock 5.3, but who knows how long it will last. 10 lbs will run a long time it you tune it right and take care of it.

PS you might want to down size that sig pic before you get busted,

Its all about the tune. I blew my 5.3 at 9psi. Another guy in town is running 12psi on his 5.3 and he only blows transmissions

with good gas and no knock it will hold 20psi for awhile. valve springs are a good idea. like said above it is all about the tune. a bad tune and you can blow it up with 5psi.

I am running 7psi (low boost) and 10psi (high boost) and I have not had any problems, I have heard the once you go over 10 you will start to get into trouble
