Either version is a big improvement over your .466/.457 190/191 114 5.3l cam.

The 2002+ is worth an extra 15hp over the 2001 version in a LS6. I think the extra lift will payoff at least that well with a Procharger and if you ever get the inclination to go turbo, it's a proven performer.

IMO, find a good deal on a 2002+. You got a good deal on the 2001. Post it and you'll get your money back. Swapping a cam isn't that hard but it is a lot of work. You might as well get the cam you wanted in the first place.

My truck with a stock 5.3 with 38lbs inj. , Flowmaster exaust 2.5, and Long Tube Headers, and 2600 Yank converter made . 424 Rwhp and 425 Twtq and that was only turning it to about 6k RPM's with a 3.75 Pulley also 2 Core Intercooler.

I felt my truck was diff way over the 500 Rwhp mark with my 370 and 62 lbs. inj.

Okay so I just scored a 2002+ z06 cam and valve springs so I'll be selling the other cam if anyone is interested.

Here are the pics.

I'm waiting to hear back from a guy on ls1tech about some comp cams 7.35 pushrods. Then the cam stuff will be out of the way. Well, except for whatever gaskets I'll need.

Thanks for the help fellas.
