Default how does this PCV/ breather system sound?

ok for the past two days ive been reading through threads about what PCV setups everyone is runing. some people are saying run breathers, some say dont. im not to sure exactly how the whole PCV setup works but i think i got a good idea on a setup.

in my readings it states that its not good to run just breathers. that the motor needs to have some sort of vacumn to pull out the water vapor, unburnt fuel, combustion gasses, & other contaminates that build up when using just breathers. here is my idea on how to use a breather setup and have a vacumn pull for all the bad stuff. please give me some imput.

things to cap off: top of intake, throttle body(cable style), passenger valve cover.

put a breather on the oil cap, then take another passenger valve cover and put it on the drivers side with a breather in the oil cap too. put a LS6 valley cover on with a tube running to a check ball then to a fitting that is tapped into my EGR block off on my headers.

wouldn't the exhaust now create a vacumn and suck out all the bad stuff. the check valve would make it so no exhaust would back feed into the valley.

am i thinking right on this or am i way off? i have the ls6 valley cover on and the spare passenger valve cover. i just dont want to spend the money on the catch can and then pull the vacumn from my intake side on my supercharger.

funny, I'm at the same stage as you.. thinking i have a grasp of the pcv system and in need of finding a way to put a breather/catchcan on it

They make check fittings exactly for this. Exhaust crankcase evacuators or something like that they are called. I was thinking of using them, but you need to be just as careful about letting oil get into the exhaust as the intake, because it will clog up the cats. Of course nobody would drive on the street without catalytic converters, everybody knows that is illegal.

i ended up running a dual breather setup. i vented my stock oil cap, then took another passenger valvecover and put it on the drivers side and vented that one too. i then capped off all the other PCV stuff. i also have a LS6 cover that is capped off right now but down the road i plan on putting a catch can on that then running it to my intake to suck out the fumes, and help get fresh air moving in there.

I just installed a pvc system on my truck that has worked out great so far. I drilled a hole in my stock valley cover and put a -12an bulkhead fitting in it. I then ran a -12 line to a baffled catchcan and ran a -8 from the catch can to the intake hat on the blower. I also run a metco breather on the passenger side valve cover.

This makes the blower act as a vaccum pump and pulls great vaccum and helps with ring sealing.

I used to pull vaccum from the passenger side valve cover over to the back of the blower but my breather seemed to smoke sometimes. Now I get no smoke and seems to run a little smoother.

Anyone try this ejector set-up an make it work? I thought about this a while ago, we use air ejector's on steam plants quite well and thought it might do a good job of pulling a vacuum on the crankcase.
Has anyone had any success with it?

I did breathers on both valve covers, then used an LS6 valley cover with a check valve and routed it to intake manifold vacuum.

guys, I'm working on this right now...would it be ok to run a catchcan/w breather between the driver's side valvecover and the top of the intake manifold? I'm running an STS setup. Thanks
