If you put on a larger Crank pulley is there a need to compensate for alternator, water pump, A/C...anything else that is belt driven by the crank pulley? I would assume you might have to get a pulley to counter-act the change in crank pulley no? Each accessory needs a certain speed to operate optimally or will they work just as fine at a faster speed?

I have been running a 1.25" larger crank pulley in the quest of more boost for several years. The other accessories do not seem to mind, in fact the alternator works better at keeping up with the electric fans.

on a 8" crank pulley the larger crank pulley will overdrive them about 7%. So if you were shifting at 6500(engine) that would be equivalent to approx 6950rpm(accessory). Obviously, the engine will spend very little time at this rpm over its lifetime, so it's a non issue. good question
