Default help. oil leak

Ok so I just got done putting on my kb front mount kit and test drove it around. I'm leaking oil out of the oil drain flange is what it seems like. ( magnum t76) I can't see it leaking but after driving it it'll have plenty of smoke coming off the log manifold. So I took the flange back off and noticed it had a bow to it and I got a file and flattened it out some. Made a new gasket for it and reinstalled. Still leaks. You can see a little oil saturation on the log. Whats my next fix? Replace gasket with high temp rtv? Thanx for the help

You need to make sure the surface of your drain flange is perfectly flat. There are many out there that are POS's. You should be able to tell if its coming from that flange though. How much oil is getting on the log and where at? The drain side of the turbo shouldn't be under any pressure, it drains purely by the force of gravity. I can't see you losing a ton of oil there. Surface the flange again, make another gasket, and put it on with some high temp rtv silicone.

Have you taken care of your pcv system to make sure your not boosting the crankcase and losing oil that way under boost? Also, are you positive you got your dipstick back in all the way and didn't lose the o-ring off it? If your leaking from the drain flange, you should have enough oil pressure at idle to see a leak with it idling.

Haven't addressed the pcv yet but I haven't boosted it either. The oil is gettin on the 90 turn on the front side of the log bout 2 inches away from the flange. I'm also pretty sure I got my oil tube back in good but oil from that area couldn't get to where this oil is.

Make sure both areas are flat and true and also that they have an nice even surface finish. Use the grey silicon!!! That stuff is like cement when it dries. Thats what many car companies use on factory oil pans and other metal to metal surfaces.

Also if you can safely watch it leak, make sure its not the fitting or the threads that are leaking.
