Default WHAT Turbo IS this??

Someone help me figure this out. I'm not sure what turbo this is. I originally thought it was a 76mm but after looking it it may be bigger or just the wrong setup. It was supposedly a P-trim blades. A/R on exhaust side says 1.16. Cold side .70. My 8.1L has a hard time spooling this baby set up as a rear mount (no front mounts available) and I would think 496 cubes would spool a 76 right off idle. Tell me what your Turbo guys diagnosis is. I would greatly appreciate it.

precision was my first thought looking at the compressor housing but I'm going with garrett. what size is the turbine housing, I can't make it out from the pics? No badge or serial number anywhere on the frame between housings?

NM saw it at the top, how far back do you have it mounted? If it is a garrett you should be able to pick up a .96 turbine housing or something close and help it out.

Tierods is damn near to the rear axle. Both his 76mm and the pt88 he had for a little while both spooled fairly quick, but were .96 housings.

So the suggestion is a Smaller exhaust side. I know the pics suck but does it "look" about like a 76mm?

That's definitely a garrett based on the M24 stamp on the bottom of the compressor housing. I used to have a smaller turbo with the same stamps on it and it was a garrett.

Even with the exhaust housing being a 1.16 I still think the 496 should spool it somewhat decent. Sounds to me like there may be something else going on. I'd check the wastegate, BOV, and check for boost leaks before you go out and buy a new exh. housing... IMO

Hope that helps
