243/799 heads also need to be milled when using them on an LM7 for stock compression. WCCH milled my 799 heads 0.022" to get back to 9.5:1 compression.

I might be mistaken, but the only heads he can use for stock compression without milling are 706. Are there 862 heads without the notch?

 

yes i have a set of 10k 241's sitting on a shelf in my shop.

and yes the 862's that i have are the "NOTCH" style...

maybe i should just mill the 241's a bit to bring CR to right under stock?
