help with head choice

Default help with head choice

gettin ready to start my lm7 turbo build.. need help decideing which heads to run, i have 862's right now, but have access to som 853's, 241's 799's... was also recommended 242's or 243's.. whats the best suited head to run? iknow the 853 would lower compression

What are your goals power wise? Budget?

Run the 799s if u can get em cheap. Lower compression and better flow is always good on a turbo build

I will be using milled 799's, got a new pair for $460 shipped, plus milling work at WCCH to get back to 9.5 SCR.

But if your power goals are modest, stock 862's are fine.

Try to get 799s. Also im running milled 317s and happy with them you can find them cheap for the power gains! certainly worth the money imo

im tryin to squeeze every last drop out of her for as cheap as possible. i can pick up the 799's for 300

You mean 806? I've never heard of 805. I think 806 are the perimeter bolt heads found on '98 f-bodies. Not very desirable and are a negligible improvement over stock 5.3 heads, would need to be milled also for stock compression.

sorry yeah was suppose to say 806's.. looks like i jsut roll some 799's thanks guys
