Soooo, you don't want to run a stall converter??

Or do you?

If not, don't overthink this stuff. All the information is out there on camshafts that work with stock stalls and shouldn't ruin your life because you live in a stupid state. Stay small but still larger than stock. Texas speed and BTR both offer camshafts slightly larger than stock. They won't lope much and should keep things pretty tame to help pass emissions with good cat converters.

Like this.

Or their new V2 on that same camshaft.

Default Thanks for the reply

Everytime I try to look at cams, they want to sell me pushrods, valve springs, and all this other stuff. I'm trying to budget. Get away with max horsepower for minimum price.

I'm fine with stall converter, but didn't intend to spend 1300 for cam with converter.

Ls2 or ls3 factory cam, other wise springs and push rods are required. And even with those. Cams new factory springs are needed.

Even with the cams I posted, you can get away with the full swap for probably under $600 total.

You only need LS6 valve springs which are cheap and to measure your pushrods. You may or may not need them and even if you do, new push rods are not a lot of money.

Brian tooley also has his own line of LS6 type spring that will save about $10 over the GM springs. BTR .560" LS6 BEEHIVE VALVE SPRINGS

TSP and BTR have Push rod sets for $94

Cam is $389 from TSP or BTR

To add to @1FastBrick notes above, @WS6store.com can do cam/springs/pushrods for under $700.

I'm sure Mike will weigh in an offer you some great options.
