Help building for boost

Could my engine produce more power with a different camshaft, quite possibly? However, for a daily driver that runs 12.04 with what everyone says is the too small Radix MP-112 and 11.67 with a 75 shot in a 5650lb behemoth, all the while idling silky smooth and being gentle on the valve-springs, I don’t know that I would go so far as saying it’s too small. Maybe too small for max performance, and maybe too small for a supercharger that could push a little more air, but I don’t feel it’s too small for the 112 that’s doing all it can. And I know mine isn’t a fluke, as there are a few that are running similar times with basically the same set-up. Too bad the GT-7 is no longer available, as it showed promise as well and Roger’s (KySilverado) truck also ran almost identical times. I know the LS9 has comparable enough spec’s that Lingenfelter dropped the GT-7 as a cost savings, but due to the amount of effort and money it would take to convert to the Gen IV style timing components, front cover with CPS and the extension harness that is also required, I don’t see where it’s really the best choice for a Gen III equipped vehicle. Now if the OP had a lighter weight vehicle with smaller wheels and tires, with a larger more radical combination, I could see going with a more aggressive camshaft, but as it stands, I feel the GT2-3 should work as well in his as it does in everyone else’s. Another good thing about the mild GT2-3 is that while it will set you back a little purchasing it new, you will be able to run the LS6 valve-springs and could get away with the stock pushrods as well if you desired. Better pushrods are always a nice upgrade when you increase spring pressure or extend the operating range of an engine, but at this level it’s not 100% necessary either.
Thanks. The tuning might be an issue for me. Right now I have a mail order tune and there's not really any local tuning shops that I would trust. What would you suggest i do?

Do you think a 3000 stall would be okay? I have to DD this and I don't really want it too crazy just driving around town. And about how much is a reasonable price for the install of all the transmission parts?

Nice, clean truck. The 3000 stall will be fine, I am running one but I wished i had gotten a 2600-2800 because the radix is already producing lots of torque before the 3000 rpm...plus it flashes higher than the 3000 rpm's advertised. i would build the trans before or during your upgrades just to be on the safe side. Good luck!!

So when it comes to building my transmission I think I need a little help. I just ordered an HD-2 shift kit, hardened seperator plate, and a 1-2 accumulator piston with small pin. I already have a vette servo installed. Does that sound like a decent setup? And as for the stall where should I order from?

I just got ahold of a sidemount whipple kit for my 06 sierra 4.8. Ive got a few questions on what I need to do to set up everything right to handle it. I currently have a tr220 lsa112 and long tubes. Will that cam work okay with the blower?
Also I'll need to beef up my transmission and I plan on getting an HD2 shift kit, seperator plate, pistons, billet servos, and I'm not sure on what size stall I will need to go with this new setup?

Well I already got rid of that 112 so I gotta buy a new one anyway. Would a GT2-3 not be a good one for it? That's what i was planning. And do you have any incite on the trans build? that's my current issue

A few people have ran good with that cam, but some are running moderate boost, and a shot of n20. Thats a lot of truck you are pushing something with less exhaust, and tighter LSA might work out well for you. There are both my Isky 208/214, .553/.561, 114* and a comp 208/212, .554/.558, 115* in the classifides (comp isn't mine) I think either would be a decent choice.
