Default heads for maggie

I have finally collected almost all the parts for my next mod: 90mm tb and j-tube, DR. X adapter, 60# injectors, lingenfelter 100mm maf, recently purchased gt2-3 cam. My last purchase is some good heads to complete the package. I am leaning to just a good set of ported 5.3 heads but my question is what are the benefits of using a set of ported ls6 headson my 5.3 with the maggie? What will I lose/gain from the lower compression ratio of the ls6 heads. Anyone tried this or have any thoughts on this? Thanks.

you will be able to turn up the boost a bit more without having to give up as much timing.

do you think I will run a little more efficient with the ls6 heads. I think the maggie is maxed out with the 2.8 pulley and that is my main concern.

That is not much boost for your pulley size. I would wait and see what the 90mm does before changing the heads.

To answer your original question; I would not lower the compression. I would keep the compression between 9.5 and 10:1. If you plan to spray keep it at 9.5:1.
