headers/heat wrap.... what is the "best" way to do it?

what are you securing it with and what steps are you taking to install it..

stainless steel safety wire. invest in some safety wire pliers now

and a nice roll of stainelss safety wire. you just pull on the pliers and it spins the safety wire making it clamp the wrap.

O.... so basically... electric fence wire (to a point)
just a wire that is strong and will not rust through and fall apart...correct..

the shop that installed my kit told me that they soaked the wrap in water so could stretch it out and make for a tighter fit.

Do you have to spray anything on the raw pipe...or on the wrap after it is installed?
The water sounds legit but has anyone else done it?

I used big worm clamps to hold then ends together, I think it looks pretty good.



If you soak the wrap, it will make a huge mess but does make it easier to wrap tight.

the stuff i used said to wet it, they may all be like that. i used dei i believe. and like said use safety wire, the tool is a bit pricey but its nice to have around.

we... i ran out and i also want to get some worm clamps are something that looks better than the wire holding it... but here is what i got done so far... this **** is not easy to do by yourself...lol
