Do the truck engines come with the MLS head gaskets?

My 99 4.8 didn't, but when I went to the chevy dealer for the 6.0 gaskets, they came out with MLS'

everyone i have seen did but i haven't had anything older than a 2001 apart. you can probably see the edge of the gasket if you try.

if the 99 4.8 didn't and the 01 did i dont know where that leaves you.

Multiple layered steel with a sort of bonded rubber on them to help seal a bit more.

Oh, OK, so like a felopro style gasket compared to an all steel crush gasket.
