Default Guys with Magnachargers. I have some questions.

First, I will apologize now for not searching for all my answers, but I am trying to make a quick descision this weekend about this blower. I called Tbyne but have not received a return call and was hoping you guys could answer my questions really quick.

I have a 6.0L. I believe it's the LQ4. Whatever is the oldest 6.0L design is what I have.

What size pulley comes standard with the kit for the 6.0s?

I have heard 6 #s is what it would output. How much HP would this be? If its 15-20 per # than anywhere from 90 - 120? Is that at the RWs?

Is the standard tune sufficient for the standard equipement the kit provides or would I benefit from further tuning? If so, I want to get a smaller pulley anyway so I can just have it re-tuned anyway?

What's a safe pulley size on the stock bottom end assuming a good tune?

Do colder plugs come with the kit?

Do the injectors leave you room to grow, assuming I was going to go with a smaller pulley?

Thanks all

Kevin

I think it comes with a 3.3" pulley my 5.3 kit came with a 3.4"pulley.It will make about 6lbs of boost out of the box and comes complete with bigger injectors and a superchips tuner with an appropriate tune for the supercharger and bigger injectors.I have run colder TR6 plugs although Magncharger suggests using stock plugs,I ran a 3.0"pulley on my 5.3 and am running a 2.75" pulley on my 403.The injectors are good to about 500rwhp,I'm currently running 57lb injectors with my setup.

Did you have to change anything beside the tune when you ran the 3.0" pulley on your 5.3L?

I plan on getting tuning SW for my TA & Silderado later on down the line. Don't want to run into a problem where I approach needing a new stock bottom end.

i believe its recommended to use the stock radix tune and pulley to begin with to be sure theres no problems that need to be worked out.

No doubt I would do that. But just thinking that I would want to order another pulley at the same time for later on just so I wouldn't have to wait. Thanks

Another question comes to mind, where do you get the dual after coolers?

I ran the 3.0" pulley with the stock tuning with no problems, but I did check the mixtures and KR before I hammered it.I'm running with 2bar HPtuners on my current setup.

My Radix came with the 3.2 pulley and it was about 6.5 pounds normally but would hit 7.5 sometimes right before the shift points.
If you are worried about your bottum end just put some ARP rod bolts in.

My 5.3 kit came with the 3.4" pulley and the programmer. After a couple weeks I switched to a 3.2" pullley from Nelson and one of his tunes. Happy except that the engine will NOT rev over 5600. It just does a nose dive at that point.

sounds like you might want to give your tuner a call.
