Couple of options in this GT55 build.
The radiator expansion tank hose is in the way.
With such a large turbo and 5" down pipe.
We had to come up with a couple of choices. Large filter with a very tight radius built elbow.
Or just air filter straight on it.

No room to do a rubber elbow.

 

I dont see an issue with the elbow, it gets it a little further away from heat

 

I like the elbow also to get it away from engine bay heat a bit better.

 

i like the elbow too. Clean it up a bit and stuff the biggest filter you can over there.

Not too worried about heat.
It will have the 5" race intercooler.

Customer will have some work trimming the hose.
We did add a slight groove to gain clearance for the hose.

 

Is that on your t6 log? Would like to see more pictures of the turbo placement as I'm looking into using your t6 log and a GTX5533R combo for a project.

 

Yes that in the open plenium log. I have already taken down the kit. So can't take more pics.i do have this pic.
