Gotta ask why (NGK TR-6)
#1
Believe me fellas, I searched the threads and came to no conclusion. Hoping somebody with alot more knowledge ( should be everybody) than me can explain why. The overall majority suggest the NGK TR-6 plugs for a F/I set up like mine. Can anyone tell me why these plugs are better than the expensive plugs that come factory. My firestone manager neighbor couldnt tell me why so i'm seeking advise from the guys who know. I understand that they are colder but dont know what this means in relation to a F/I set up. Thanks in advance.

The TR6 is a colder plug then stock and is less prone to detonation under boost. Make sure to gap at .035 or they will missfire in a FI application. It is cheap and stocked almost everywhere which makes it a great deal.

All plugs can "blow out" given enough boost, that's why you see guys with big boost (20ps+) running tiny gaps, like .024 or .020
TR6s are just cold and cheap
Since you will likely change your plugs quite a bit more with FI, cheap is good.

I just pulled the TR6's out of my recently pulled 218k mile stock motor w/ FI...
they looked great AND they have been in for +/- 50k miles...
gonna run a new set in the new motor as well...gapped @ 0.35

I tune the AWD stuff on the street like old times.

As for the Turbo kits, I build them all in house and sure I can build you a single if you like.
