Default Gen III LM7 Limit

How much power (or boost/timing) have you gotten out of your stock gen III 5.3L LM7 bottom ends? Just curious if I should start looking into a gen IV short block or other stronger options now

it all honestly depends what youre doing with the truck. are you racing every weekend at the track where its gonna see WOT full boost, or you just DDing with the occasional spirited take off from a light?

It's a DD street truck, it will never see the track. I get into boost maybe 5-8 times a day and usually for only a second or two each time.

15 psi for a while now with a 80mm and its holding up fine. I have plans for 20+ psi when I get it back on the road/track

Find the limit of YOUR motor and let us know... timing and boost of course. With a good tune I don't see why it wouldn't last a year or 2 at 700 plus rear wheel. Rinse and repeat

I your DDing and barely getting into boost, I don't see why you cant max that 76mm out from time to time.
